The ABI is working to support collaboration among scientists with shared research interests in the field of bioinformatics and to help address common challenges. As part of this effort, the ABI is in the process of establishing Communities of Practice (CoPs), where bioinformaticians across the network can connect with domain experts who have an interest in bioinformatics and its applications. These communities will serve as collaborative spaces for sharing knowledge, tools, and workflows, supporting continuous learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
An initial survey to gather input on potential Communities of Practice has already been circulated and the following communities have been suggested:
Many CoPs have already been proposed, and additional groups will continue to be reviewed and added over time.
