Registration Selection

  • Early bird registration closes Feb 28th 2026.
  • Registration costs are subject to ISB membership status, membership status will be confirmed upon selection and can be checked here ; sign in and navigate to membership invoice to review last renewal date.
  • Travel fellowships are available and subject to review by the ISB (more information below). Fellowship applicants can select a preliminary registration type that best suits their current role.
  • Registration costs cover access to the full scientific programme of the conference, including the workshops (registration of which will occur at a later date) and welcome cocktail, as well as the daily, lunch and refreshments on all conference and workshop days.
  • Registration payment is not immediately payable, and may be made any time after abstract submission and registration (in accordance with registration rate dates). Applicants will receive a registration invoice at the email used to register.

Optional Conference Dinner
An off-site dinner will be held on the night of Thursday, April 23, 2026. This will be covered under an additional charge of ZAR 1000 (55 USD).

Conference Payment & Cancelation Policy
Please note, this is a paid conference, and registration will be finalised following payment confirmation. Cancelations must be notified in writing to lyndon.zass@uct.ac.za or info@bioinformaticsinstitute.africa. Refunds are subject to query and are not guaranteed.

Important Abstract Submission Details

Everyone is welcome to submit an abstract. The deadline for oral abstracts has passed, poster abstracts still being accepted.

  • Submission Deadline: February 27, 2026 (11:59 PM CAT / 09:59 PM GMT).
  • Word Limit: 300 words. Please do not repeat the abstract title and authors in the body of the abstract.
  • Please proof your abstract before submitting. Revisions will not be possible.
  • This event will be live streamed to paid registrants only. Talks, which are all in person, will also be recorded and made available to attendees for six months after the conference.
  • Presenters of accepted posters will be required to submit an e-poster to accommodate paid registrants who are attending virtually.
  • Virtual attendees will only be considered for posters.

Authors Instructions:

  • Add the authors in the order in which you want them listed on the abstract.
  • Enter the affiliations for each author with separate entries. Make sure that you are entering the affiliations correctly for each author.
  • Review the author and organization list below as that will be how they are formatted on the resulting submission.
